Topkapı Palace

This is an extraordinary complex of buildings that extends over one of Istanbul's seven hills in a splendid position.
The palace was a setting for state occasions and royal entertainments and is a major tourist attraction today, containing the most holy relics of the Muslim world such as the prophet Muhammed's cloak and sword. Topkapı Palace is among those monuments belonging to the "Historic Areas of Istanbul", which became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985, and is described in Criterion iv as "the best example of ensembles of palaces of the Ottoman period.

Süleymaniye Mosque

Designed by the Ottoman Empire's greatest architect, Mimar Sinan, the Süleymaniye dominates the city's Third Hill, just north of Istanbul University, overlooking the Golden Horn.

Haghia Sophia

From the Golden Age of Byzantine, this once Christian church is one of the the most extraordinary buildings in the history  of architecture. It played a very important role in the Byzantine Empire and later as a mosque in the Ottoman Empire.The word "Hagia" in Greek means "Divine" and "Sophia" means "Wisdom". "Divine Wisdom" is one of the attributes of Jesus Christ and this church is devoted to his divine wisdom.

Blue Mosque

The Blue Mosque is one of the most prominent landmarks of Istanbul, especially when viewed from the First Hill or from the Asian shore of the Sea of Marmara. It is very impressive with its beautiful domes and semidomes, nice courtyards and six slender minarets.

Church of Chora ( Museum )
The Chora Church is not as large as some of the other Byzantine churches of istanbul ( it covers 742,5 meter square ), but what it lacks in size, it akes up for in the beauty of its interior.

So many old and handsome mansions, churches, old consulate buildings, shops, cafes and passages can also be seen during short walk. Also Also Cicek Pazari ( opened at 1876 ) which can be described as a miniature version of the famous Galleria in Milan with historic pubs, winehouses and restaurants will be visited. The biggest Catholic Church of Istanbul, St. Antoine may be visited too.

Camlica Hill
The highest peak in the istanbul vicinity is the 288 meters Camlica Hill. It commands a magnificient view that embraces the Bosphorus and old istanbul.
